Soup Kitchen Moving to Camp Hope

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

On April 12th, the Sunrise Outreach Soup Kitchen at downtown Yakima’s Vineyard church will be permanently moving to Camp Hope, our low-barrier emergency shelter for Yakima County adults and families experiencing homelessness. Camp Hope is located off of the Nob Hill exit on Highway 82, behind the new U-Haul building and across the highway from the Arboretum (2300 E. Birch Street, Yakima).

The Soup Kitchen’s last day at Yakima Vineyard will be Friday, April 12th. No meals will be served from this location past that date. The Soup Kitchen will reopen in its new location at Camp Hope on Monday, April 15th.

We are excited about our Soup Kitchen clients learning about Camp Hope’s shelter, community, and wraparound services. We feel this is an excellent use of organizational resources and a win-win for all.

Did you know our Soup Kitchen serves a warm lunch to 140-185 people each day? Over 25 different businesses, churches, and groups partner with us daily to make grab-and-go sandwiches that we give to the hungry.
