Soup Kitchen Moving to Camp Hope

Later this month, on April 15th, the Sunrise Outreach Soup Kitchen at downtown Yakima’s Vineyard church will be permanently moving to Camp Hope, our low-barrier emergency shelter for Yakima County adults and families experiencing homelessness. Camp Hope is located off of the Nob Hill exit on Highway 82, behind the new U-Haul building and across the highway from the Arboretum (2300 E. Birch Street, Yakima).

We are excited about our Soup Kitchen clients learning about Camp Hope’s shelter, community, and wraparound services. We feel this is an excellent use of organizational resources and a win-win for all. Stay tuned for more details!

Did you know our Soup Kitchen serves a warm lunch to 140-185 people each day? Over 25 different businesses, churches, and groups partner with us daily to make grab-and-go sandwiches that we give to the hungry.
